- Version chaos.
Orders_FINAL_v3_USE_THIS_ONE.xlsxsits in a folder besideOrders_FINAL_v3_USE_THIS_ONE(2).xlsx. Nobody is certain which is current. Both are being edited. - The broken formula nobody noticed. Someone sorted a range, or deleted a row, and a calculation has been quietly wrong for months. You found out from a customer. Or worse, your accountant.
- One at a time, please. Two people need the file; one gets "locked for editing by another user". So somebody makes a copy, and now see "version chaos", above.
- Retyping as a way of life. The same customer details typed into the spreadsheet, the invoice, the email, the delivery note. Each retype is a chance for a typo, and typos in invoices cost real money.
- The Sandra problem. One person holds the whole system in their head. When they're away, things stop. When they leave, things break.

FAQ
How do we know it's time to move off spreadsheets?
A rough rule: when more than two people need the data, when the same information lives in more than one place, or when a spreadsheet error has ever cost you money or embarrassment. If you've read this far, honestly, it's probably time.
Will we lose our existing data?
No — quite the opposite. Importing your spreadsheets is a standard part of the job. Your history arrives in the new system cleaned up and properly organised, often more usable than it's been in years.
Is a bespoke database expensive?
It's an investment, and it depends on scope — so we won't insult you with a made-up number. What we will say: we invoice monthly for completed work only, you can stop anytime, and the free initial consultation will give you a realistic estimate. Do our staff need to be technical?
No. A well-built system is easier to use than the spreadsheets it replaces, because it only shows each person what they need. If your team can use a web browser, they'll manage. We provide training and support too.
